The Palli Project
Hi everyone, I’m Allison. In Fall 2025, I’m embarking on, a unique ultramarathon, throughout the Pacific North West, as part of a personal creative journey I’ve liked to call part one of — The Palli Project. This isn’t just about running; it’s about creating a movement to help people reconnect with their communities, but more importantly, themselves. & well ,selfishly, I’m trying to do the same.
My journey isn’t just personal—though it is deeply rooted in my own experiences of loss, grief, and mental health challenges. Growing up — both of my parents dubbed me the nickname, “Palli Alli”. It’s origin is a mystery, but it’s a name I’ve carried with a badge of honor; “that’s our palli” was cheered at every soccer match, written on every birthday card, exclaimed at every solo adventure- it lived in me. Now — both of my parents have battled cancer, one’s battle ended too soon, and the other is still fighting, and while I deeply respect traditional fundraising, I want to do something different. I want to channel your support into tangible, impactful actions that benefit our local communities directly — to cultivate everyone’s “that’s our palli” moments.
Here’s how your donations will make a difference:
Creativity & Equipment Costs: To document and share the journey on all platforms ensuring transparency and connection. .
Travel Costs: From airfare, to taking care of the crew; we’re dedicated to reaching communities, the good ‘ol grassroots way and share the message of wellness and connection.
Education: Striving to curate reliable, peer-reviewed, resources including book lists, free articles, podcast recommendations & more. Trying to spread knowledge on all things preventative health. As well as continuous costs towards the Alive & Well Podcast (launch date releasing soon!!)
Local Wellness Support: Funding initiatives at local schools, community centers, urban gardens, and more to promote health and wellness in our communities; all the places most impactful to YOU & places we touch along our journey.
